Heura, the prominent Spanish plant-based meat company, has achieved remarkable success in its third crowdfunding round by raising over €2.6 million in just 48 hours. Since its launch on May 5, the company has attracted 3,400 new investors, demonstrating strong support for its mission.


The primary goals of this crowdfunding campaign, hosted on the Crowdcube platform until May 17, are to establish Heura as a leader in the European plant-based protein market, implement a net positive impact plan, and drive technological innovations protected by a new patent.

The plant-based sector in Europe is experiencing significant growth, with sales currently amounting to €5.7 billion. A recent report from GFI reveals that alt protein companies across Europe secured nearly 24% more funding in 2022 compared to the previous year. Spanish companies, in particular, witnessed a 58% increase, attracting €42 million in investments.

Heura, in a phase of expansion, already distributes its products in 20 countries. Over the past year, the company has achieved an impressive 80% growth in turnover and an equivalent market share in Spain.


With previous financing rounds held in 2021 and 2022, Heura has emphasized that this will be the final opportunity for individual investors to participate in the plant-based movement. Previous crowdfunding rounds have collectively raised over €8 million from nearly 7,000 investors worldwide.
