National Park Service staff clean up beach debris in Rodanthe
On March 13, a house collapse resulted in debris washing up on the beach at Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Over the following days, National Park Service employees and volunteers worked together to clean up the small debris and wood pieces that were littered along the shore.
Despite the challenge of exposed nails in the wood, the cleanup efforts were successful in removing 42 truckloads of debris from the beach. The National Park Service will continue with cleanup efforts in the coming days.
